Bus routes are in place throughout Austin including Hyde Park. The community is located just north of University Texas campus.
How close are fire and police services?
A fire station is located off Airport Blvd. across from the Lake Park pond. The Austin Police Department headquarters is located just a few miles away on I-35 and 8th Street, and the department’s Central East substation is located southeast of Mueller on Springdale Road.

Historical buildings are found scattered throughout the area. The cabin at Shite park is a historical landmark and dates back to the first community park of the area.
